CLIFFORD MCCLENAGHAN ARCHITECT
Clifford McClenaghan set up in private practice in 1985, initially working from home. He started working life as a technician within an Architect’s office before taking the decision to study Architecture as a mature student at Queen’s University, Belfast. After graduating with a first class degree in Architecture in 1983 he gained early experience with a low/ medium sized Belfast based practice, before opting for private practice. In his own words Clifford gained “considerable experience” with both firms, working on a variety of jobs ranging from shopping centres and office developments to sheltered housing projects.
In the decades since, Clifford McClenaghan has worked on more than 1000 commissions and built up a reputation for both design excellence and quality of service. The practice’s dedication to quality is reflected in its commitment to Quality Assurance procedures and the certification of ‘The Bridge Studio’ in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001
Outlining Architectural practice philosophy, Clifford McClenaghan said “At The Bridge Studio, we focus very much on good design, working towards a total understanding of our client’s needs while providing solutions that are economically viable. Good architecture does not have to begin with multi-million pound contracts – even the smallest of jobs can be interesting. Meeting deadlines and working within carefully considered cost parameters is all part of the business.“
Over the years commissions have covered numerous spheres – from residential design work, including the specialist housing field, to the industrial and commercial sectors, and even broadcasting.
